100 years ago today, World War I ended. Can you imagine the guts it took? My God, to believe in your cause so much as to want to protect your neighbor more than you care about your own life? What can one say but thank you. I will take care of you if you need me.
If we had more Liberty and Freedom to allocate our own earnings where we want, our Veterans would have unlimited sources and resources for any help they need. If you put your life on the line for me, I cannot respect you more.
Right after typing that last line, it came to my attention that I’ve had some discussions with a Bernie Sanders supporting lawyer on FB.. I found out he served. Talk about being conflicted….!! Well, no I wasn’t conflicted. I respect him and would help him in any way he needed. Hm!! Maybe there’s a way to make him realize he supports the very philosophies he fought to protect us from. Totalitarian regimes. Not to disrespect in any way, but his Bernie support may be PTSD? Irrational thoughts.
Our Constitution is worth protecting. I don’t see many people marching to get into Venezuela, or Iran. Let’s have a discussion of where we can do away with Government Agencies and their burgeoning bureaucracies, The Deep State, or more appropriately, The Administration State. We’re talking about the 4th Branch of Government here. The Branch no one voted for and the branch that stays, from administration to administration. Think of all those folks working to make sure you follow laws you didn’t vote on, and the taxpayer is forced to pay their salaries, healthcare and pensions along the way. Those seeing the Light might ask why their politicians are sloughing off the responsibility of passing law? Isn’t lawmaking THE CITIZEN’S responsibiity passing law along to their ELECTED representatives and not some government bureaucrat? Who says they know what’s better for me than I do myself? You don’t think I don’t know what’s best for my veteran father? It has to come from Washington D.C.?? Only a Socialist would believe it’s so.
President Trump has been whittling away at just this problem. I think he instictivly looks towards home, towards the dinner table,for his core value. Yeah, and sometimes when you’re home you might get a little too comfortable, and be brash.. Sounds right to me President Trump. He looks to the local level. We can help every American who put on a uniform and risked their lives.
America IS Local. Let’s think that way, and only that way. We don’t need to bastardize our Founding Document to have our towns safe and taken care of. Being Veterans Day, What can we do to help veterans NOW, and I do mean Now, as an American? It’s funny but if we all did something right now, literally, got off the couch and went now, what could we do? Who knows? The resources and people needed will magically appear. Sounds hokey but it’s really all about having the resources in the hands of those who earned it, and letting them go where they wish. To have that America, that Traditional Vision, wouldn’t be so tough really. When you see the Light of Capitalism and it’s Voluntary Association in the Civil Society.
